📎 AI Summary:
The forum thread discusses troubleshooting network visibility issues after upgrading to Windows 10. The original poster, Gerald, notes that his wife’s PC can see his, but his cannot see hers, and both are on different network profiles (public and private). The main advice focuses on ensuring both PCs are set to the same network profile and that file sharing is enabled; Gerald confirms both computers already have file sharing enabled, but they are on different network types. The overall sentiment indicates that aligning network profiles and verifying sharing settings should resolve their connectivity problem.

Thanks for the reply,
she can see my PC but I cannot see hers. Network Discovery is set to on. I have not yet restarted the PCs yet, will I have to restart them both for the networks to see each other? I have a few things to do yet before I restart my PC.

From file explorer on your system, if you click Network does it throw an error?

Make sure file sharing is on as well. I believe that is required to see other Windows devices

File and printer sharing is on for private, guest and public networks. I'm 73 and this is a bit above me at the moment, it was all running okay before I upgraded
