Quite right! There is an option in Firefox which enables you to say to companies, "Please do not track me" but places them under no obligation to do so. The less moral any organisation is, the less likely they are to respect your request. Such organisations are in the same league as the nuisance callers who pester you daily with cold caller telephone selling despite you having registered your preference to not receive such calls.
