Microsoft has added Copilot entry points across Windows, Edge, Microsoft 365, and Outlook, and Google is pursuing its own version of the same strategy in Gmail and Chrome. The competition is no longer only about whether an assistant can perform a task. It is about whose button becomes the default place users turn when they encounter work.
