Johns Hopkins Information Technology has paused its planned deletion of Microsoft Teams chats after community feedback raised concerns that the change would disrupt day-to-day work.
The decision, reported by The Hub on July 29, means Teams usage at Johns Hopkins will remain unchanged for now. IT said it will not revisit a chat-deletion policy unless it can give users control over their data and workflows without breaking established practices.

The newer Hub report says the previously announced deletion initiative will not proceed at this time and that current Teams use will not change.
