I'm looking for a tool that will allow to batch generate and add to many doc and docx files, the thumbnails that appear in Windows Explorer. Since I couldn't find a way to do this via Office.

The reason for this is that the Generate thumbnails option in the save as dialog of Office 2007 is unticked by default which in turn caused almost all files to be saved without thumbnails, also all of the old files saved in Windows XP also don't have thumbnails (The option doesn't exist in XP if my memory serves me right).

So there really is no tool for this...(That I could find) :(

So if you have tons of files and you want them to have thumbnails you basiclly can't do much about it...
