I am installing SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition on Windows 7 Professional. It gave me a warning about windows firewall and to make sure to enable appropriate ports. How can I enable ports. How to enable ports on Windows Firewall?

If you look in Help and Support and look for open ports in Windows firewall, you should find an explanation.

SQL Uses TCP Port 1433 and UDP Port 1434 Check this article it speak about a Program. Just ignore the Software part and try the SQL Part alone. Link Removed - Invalid URL
