I dont have all the details but i tried installing win 7 on my friends pc and it got almost done, restarted and then didnt get any further. does anyone know how are why this happend and van help.

It is probably some device or driver is could not handle. Can you turn off or disable or unplug any devices you do not need. I have seen video and network and other drivers causing problems. You do not need to be connected to the net to install.
