"Password Recovery" is a sensitive subject. It denotes the act of circumventing password protection which is held sacred by most people.

It's not necessarily the tool that is of concern but the purpose for to which it is applied. Whilst a keygen can have only one (illegal) purpose a knife is generally used for legal purposes although it may be used to commit murder - I reckon cmos reset tools are of the second type

Password protection rule can only be one way. No ifs , or buts, or depends.
If someone asks to help recovering cmos password and proceeds to offer some entertaining reasons, is it to be believed ?
To those who say yes, I have a bridge I'd like to sell to them.
