I tried the Windows10 update..Don't like the fact that I can't have a standalone version, without going out and buying it.
Except for the start menu in Wiin10, Win8 in almost the same. I went went back to Window8.1, ran the GWX_control_panel.exe to get rid of the "Get Windows10 icon" from...

Ok... I ran both those .bat's in that zip file. I still get the GWXUX after several reboots.
It's not a big deal. Just click on "close program" takes care of it. Just a bit annoyed with that dumb icon in my system-tray.
I have windows 8.1 and am quite happy with it. Don't want to upgrade to the "free" Windows 10.
But getting a bit po'd about the GWXUX cropping up on every re-start. (no hurry to get win10).
Don't give me some crazy amount of steps to get rid of it. Is their a REG to just kill it...??? (or...

I have to manually un-click the watched episode, manually click on the next episode, then right-click and click on play. Plus the spacebar does not...
OK... I'm still a Win7 nut. I actually ran an official oem of Win8.1, didn't like it.... tried the alpha AND beta version of Win10... still don't like it.
Microsoft has offered me like many, a free version of Windows10.
Makes you wonder................. Even when they screwed up...
Ok, I'm late in my response.
The problem seemed to be in my ram. The board had my 16-gigs of ram clocked at 1.5 volts. The ram is actually 1.65 volts. Once I clicked on custom, then profile1, it automatically went to 1.65 volts.
Now why couldn't Gigabyte figure that out in the first...
I have had several times in the last while where my system 2/3's freezes up. Can't get back to the desktop just after minutes, but still able to reboot.
Wondering if it is this B75M-D3H Gigabyte board..?
I am firm believer in Ccleaner.. Used in in Win7 and Win8.1. Get it from the original source is right.
I've done the registry clean portion a number of times... just save the REG as the program suggests, before doing so...
