I've just upgraded to Windows 7, and successfully installed and used Office 2003.
I now find that the Office 2003 software does not recognise the file format of .xlsx files.
Under XP, a small utility came into action to convert the file to .xls format.
Is it possible to get this working again under windows 7?

Solution

Go to control panel and use file association to associate xlsx files with excel 2003.
