The launch, and the date confusion
Netmarble set the launch for November 3 at 4:00 PM PST, which is November 4 at 0:00 UTC. That is why some outlets say November 3 and others say November 4. Both are correct, depending on your time zone. Inven Global's report, which Netmarble's announcement backs up, says the console versions went on sale on November 4 UTC through each platform's storefront.
This is not the game's first launch. The game launched on PC through Steam and Xbox PC in November 2025. The exact PC date varies by source. Steam and the Xbox Store both list November 24, 2025. Inven's report says November 25, and Gematsu says November 17. I'd treat the store listings as the most reliable, since each store records its own release date.
Editions and US prices
There are two editions: Standard at $39.99 and Deluxe at $44.99. The Xbox Store shows the same prices with a "+" notation, which Microsoft uses when a listing offers in-app purchases. Treat these as US store prices, because other regions may differ.
The Deluxe Edition adds:
- A Sung Jinwoo: Overdrive costume.
- A Cha Hae-In emoji set.
- "Additional items", which Netmarble doesn't itemize for consoles.
Steam's Deluxe listing is more detailed. It includes a face accessory, two hairstyles, eight emojis, a Yaruru "Predator Tank" helper, and profile cosmetics. That list is for the PC edition, so I wouldn't assume the console bundle matches it item for item.
On Xbox, the Deluxe upgrade is also sold as a separate add-on at $9.99. The listing also shows:
- A free Christmas costume pack.
- A $4.99 Jeju Island Raid special pack.
That means "premium price" doesn't mean "no microtransactions." The Xbox page flags in-game purchases, and so does the PlayStation page.
What the Xbox listing says
The Xbox Store page has the most Microsoft-relevant details.
- Online multiplayer: console online play requires Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, sold separately. Solo play does not need it.
- Xbox Play Anywhere: the listing carries the Play Anywhere badge, so owners should be able to play on Xbox and Windows PC under one license. The listing doesn't spell out how progress carries over, so check that before you buy on a second platform.
- Cloud play: the game is cloud playable with Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, but you still have to buy the game.
- Handhelds: it is labeled Handheld Optimized.
- Crossplay: the listing names Xbox cross-platform multiplayer as a capability.
- Languages and accessibility: it lists 18 supported languages and two accessibility features.
- Rating: the ESRB rating is Teen.
What you need on PS5
The PlayStation listing differs in a few ways:
- PS Plus is required for online play.
- Up to four players can play online.
- The listing says the game requires vibration and trigger-effect support.
- It lists six accessibility features, including basic difficulty adjustment, basic controller remapping, and pausing during gameplay and cinematics (offline only).
- Subtitles cover only the main story and main characters.
I wouldn't assume these accessibility details apply on Xbox. The Xbox page lists only two accessibility features.
Combat on a controller
Netmarble says the game is built around controller play. Inven's report names these systems:
- Guard and Parry: block or deflect enemy attacks.
- QTE: a successful parry briefly breaks the enemy.
- Overdrive: a system that highlights each Hunter's traits.
- Chain Smash: rewards chaining skills together.
- Monarch Combat: Jinwoo fights in his awakened form.
The store listings add 8 job advancements in the skill tree, 4-player co-op raids against Commanders, and a weapon crafting system. Those are Netmarble's own descriptions, not hands-on findings. I haven't played it, so I can't say how well any of this works.
PC details for Windows players
Steam lists the PC version with single-player and online co-op. It also lists 21 supported languages and a "Mostly Positive" user rating, with 75% of 3,324 English reviews positive.
The minimum requirements are:
- Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD equivalent
- 12 GB RAM
- NVIDIA GTX 1050
- DirectX 11
- 40 GB of storage, with an SSD recommended
The recommended specs call for Windows 11, an i5-9400, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 2060. Steam's AI disclosure says generative AI is used in a supplementary capacity for localization of some languages. Those specs apply to the PC version only, not to the consoles.
Inven's chart claim
Inven says the PC release hit No. 8 on Steam's global Top Sellers chart and ranked No. 7 in the US and No. 5 in Germany and France. That figure comes from the Netmarble-sourced Inven report. I couldn't verify it independently, so treat it as Netmarble's claim.
Who should care
- Xbox players: the base game costs $39.99, and co-op needs a paid Game Pass tier.
- Windows players: the Xbox listing shows Play Anywhere, which could let one purchase cover both platforms. Confirm that before buying twice.
- Handheld users: the game is marked as optimized.
- Everyone: if you're after the cosmetics, check the Deluxe contents on your platform's store page first.
The game is out now and the prices are current as of this writing. Premium pricing, Play Anywhere, and Game Pass-gated multiplayer are the practical points that matter to Xbox and Windows buyers.
Update: Report lists more console Deluxe Edition bonuses (November 4, 2026)
According to Saiga NAK, the console Deluxe Edition includes more than the previously named Overdrive skin and Cha Hae-In emoji set. Its list also includes a face accessory, two hairstyles for Jinwoo, the support character Yaruru, and profile cosmetics.
Saiga NAK describes the emoji set as containing eight emojis and the profile items as a card, frame, icon and background. The report presents these as console-edition contents; the earlier detailed list was specific to the PC edition.
The report does not identify Yaruru as the “Predator Tank” helper named in Steam’s PC listing. Xbox and PS5 buyers interested in a particular bonus should check their platform’s Deluxe Edition listing before purchasing.
