Howdy!
I always was curious how others do/manage their PC after a fresh installation of Windows 10, so in this thread lets discuss this and even better let's post properly what you do after a fresh installation of Windows 10, what software do you install, what settings you change for your need...
Windows Server Backup has been running for a couple of years. I see my current backups. It shows the oldest backup date being back in 2018. However, when I click on "Restore" it only shows dates since January 1. Are those backups just gone? Where are they? Perhaps they just don't show up...
I have all my files on an external disc, D. I only use C for system files. I have activated ”Säkerhetskopia” , I guess ”Backup” in English. Säkerhetskopia is ordered to backup on another external disc, G. The size of D is 377 GB. The size of the backup on G is 1,67 TB, and rapidly increasing...
My boot 1tB SSD died. Now that it's replaced and I'm slowly back filling to get my win10 box back to where I was (the tech was able to recover 90% or so of my config) I'm determined to set a comprehensive backup routine.
So ideally I'd like a routine set so that at shut down the machine...
I have a system that refuses to boot to Windows 10 Professional (64-bit), and I think I need to do a reinstall.
The advanced boot options is available, but it will not go into safe mode. I can however get the command line, and it recognizes both robocopy and xcopy.
Assume that C is the hard...

Can anyone tell me for sure, with Windows 10 Backup, if I set it to copy a folder (or single files) each night, if nothing has changed in that folder (or file) does Backup still copy it? I want to be sure that copies to a cloud server are minimized.
Edit: Also, if a single file in a folder has...
Dear all,

Yes, I know how to create a System Restore Point with built-in dialog or 'wmic' or Powershell.

I backed up my iPhone to my Windows PC and used it to restore my iPhone a few days later. I then had to erase my phone once again for a screen repair. When I wanted to restore it again -my iTunes said that there are no back ups. But if I check my PC I can see the backup on my hard drive. It just...

It occurred to me that my idea of using a backup from Windows 7 may not be useful if I cold install windows 10. From what I've read about Windows 10 so far, I see no mention of windows backup. So is a windows 7 backup useless under windows 10?
