After testing different Windows OS'es -- I still have to say that Windows XP PRO 64 Bit edition with SP2 stiill rules the roost in speed etc by quite a large margin.
Using asus P5QL -CM Mobo with 8GB RAM and Intel Quad Q9400 2.66 GHZ.
Using built in video driver (Intel G45 / G43...

Okay, so there's been a lot of talk about which is better, which runs leaner, which takes more space, etc.
So I decided; Hey! Why not test them all, in a controlled environment, allowing them the exact same treatment to get as accurate a result as possible? Good Idea?

I am a pc enthusiast, and am trying to get one of the futuremark programs so I can test windows 7 performance for myself, along with my new hardware......but Im not sure if I should use pcmark vantage since it is made for vista...any ideas?
This recently upgraded benchmarking software caught my eye as it's got tests for Dx10.1.
So if you have a Dx10.1 capable card check it out (it also contains tests for Dx10 and Dx9). I have to say the graphics are awesome too :
