Whilst my initial experience was good with build 7048 -- I've reverted back to build 7022 on my laptop. (Desktop is still 100% fine)
Laptop problems
1) Windows Experience crashed -- even with the command line version so Aero themes a bit problematic
2) Media Center would freeze...

I tried making a Bootable DVD from the 7048 build and then do a Clean install -- this fails with "A citical file couldn't be loaded" -- I KNOW my DVD is genuine so I assume that it's probably something with the way I was trying to create the BOOT record.

I seem to get an error "Cannot Complete Windows assesment when running this on build 7048.
gets as far as Running the Direct3D 10 ALU assessment -- then takes a LONG time (> 5 mins approx hard disk light going bonkers) evntually you get a few more tests and then it fails at Windows...

I've just finished testing the Date expiration facilitgy on build 7048 -- although the popup screen says Expiry in July 2009 it actually REALLY expires on 1st Aug. You can see that by using the slmgr command (Software licensing).

One of the major iirritants I had with w7 x-64 build 7000 was that I couldn't get the WIRED lan driver to work properly -- I always got "Limited Connectivity" Icon - even though windows didn't flag the driver as defective...

If you haven't started using build 7022 (X-64) then build 7048 is actually out now . As to the question Where - " Well If I gave you the answer I'd have to kill you".
Point of this post is to say if you MUST download a later version than build 7000 go for the latest.
