I made this mistake on Christmas 2011, i could smell it in 2012. Luckily, i found it and my GTX550Ti runs great. The fan on it cools the card and my foot when it is beside the computer! Link Removed

About two weeks ago my computer began behaving erratically while playing World of Warcraft and SW: Old Republic games where the games would crash to desktop, or where my computer would randomly reboot while in the middle of playing. Then this began to happen when not in the games and...

Hi all.
I can't work out what is causing the BSOD. I've overclocked most of my components and they are all appropriately cooled. Not sure if this is a software issue or not.
Can anyone analyse for me? Link Removed

Hi,
Not sure if this is quite the right sub-forum, but none of the others quite fit the bill either. Anyway, I had great success with this forum (and Elmer in particular) in diagnosing and helping to fix the problem with my desktop. I'm now going for the double whammy and hoping for similar...
I installed the componenets on this new system on 1st feb. I have been getting BSOD every 4 hours or so.
I have tried the following:
1. Put in a different graphics card.
2. Put in a better CPU cooler.

Hello, I have built quite a few computers in my life, but tend to stick to a cookie cutter layout with AMD AM2 / 3 / 3+ based systems. I have NEVER had a bsod from anything other than an occasional finicky program.
So I hear about this new AMD APU, and it just sounds awesome.
Maybe I shopped...

I have a new HP dv6 laptop. The operating system is windows 7, 64 bit. I've had it less than a week. The power option I have set on it (default) calls for the system to go into the sleep mode after 20 minutes(closing the lid). I don't even see any option available to select that would shut the...

This blue screen is irritating and happens quite often. Sometimes my laptop works fine for 2 hours before crashing and sometimes it only lasts 10 mins. I think it is heat related because when I started using a laptop fan to cool the laptop it started giving me a little more time between...
hello everyone, what would be the best way to clean a laptop fan? using a compressed air or dismantling the cover and everything? any input on this matter is greatly appreciated.
