I have to do a lot of copying/pasting of filenames at work for use in creation in URLs.
With Win7, when I highlight the a file's name (say, document_v1.pdf) Windows only selects the name (document_v1) and not the extension (.pdf).

Whenever I right click on a file, the start bar, anything and then click properties, the window appears for less than a second then vanishes.
Same thing happens when I try to change an extension. The popup that asks me if I want to make the change appears for a split second and then disappears.
