Hello!
I found after disk failure lot of corrupted pictures in folders.
I'm not able to delete them manually for files count.
Is possible to detect if is picture (or even any file) corrupted and search for them and delete? Even recursively?
By any tool, by any way.
Thank you for each help...
During a Windows 7 Backup, I backed up a lot of unwanted folders and files. Can I remove these (manually) from the backup file or do I need to delete the backup and run it again without the unwanted folders included? (which I'd rather not do incase the backup fails for some reason)
I don't know what's going on, but for some reason my Music and Pictures folders are not listed in the Index. Admittedly, all my personal folders are actually being stored in Onedrive, but the default folders reflect that locations change, and my Documents folder, also in Onedrive, is being...
Assume I extract a *.zip file.
One of the files inside contain suspicious code. At least Windows Defender tells me that a Threat has been found AND Defender AUOTMATICALLY
deletes this file.
Thank you for the information about the (possible) threat.
But I don't want a deletion!
How can I tell...
I recently migrated several thousand files and folders from one external hard drive to another. My backup software (iDrive) failed to back up 5 or 6 folders. When I looked at the properties for those folders, the Security tab just says "The requested security information is either unavailable...

Hello!
I need to recursively to remove all extensions PRG and P00 on single partition.
I know that recursively can work XCOPY, but renaming is other task.
How to create batch to remove all these extensions of files and folders (if exist) recursively?

So I have a lot of pictures (jpg files) I need to rename. 001.jpg all the way up to 621.jpg. I have different pictures with the same numbers. Is there an easy way just to rename them, like put an I in front? Like I001.jpg all the way up to I621.jpg
Appreciate all the help
Mike
Does anyone know what those folders whose names are long sequences of hex numbers enclosed with brackets are used for? I have hundreds of them in my AppData directory and a hankering desire to remove them all! None of them appear to have any files in them.
Much to my surprise I found some folders (e.g.
D:\System Volume Information\{d8216247-eb56-11e9-87e1-005056c00008}{3809876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-05046e6cc752}

I just purchased an HP laptop with a 128 GB M.2 SSD Hard Drive. Besides the original setup and adding some basic programs, I've done very little in a week.
But my C: Drive has already used 42% (only 69GB free) A further disk analysis shows that, of the total used, Windows has used 30%...

Hi,
I found 650MB .tmp files in my SysWOW64 folder, why are they there? I can't find anything online about them.
Some of the file names are 445.tmp, 3903.tmp and 11920.tmp
My attention was drawn to them after ESET detected one of them as a virus, the detection name was something like...
