About this tag
Forza Horizon 6 is the upcoming open-world racing game from Playground Games, set in Japan and launching on May 19, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with a PlayStation 5 version arriving later. The game has generated discussion around its PC system requirements, which are notably modest for a 2026 title, supporting a wide range of hardware from Steam Deck and ROG Ally to high-end ray-tracing GPUs. It also features cross-save and cross-play across Steam, Xbox, and PS5, and includes a humorous Microsoft Teams car horn. The game was showcased at the Xbox Developer Direct 2026 alongside other major titles.

Forza Horizon 6 Leads 2026 First-Party Game Revenue as PS5 Launch Nears

When a racing franchise finally hands players the keys to a stylized version of Japan after years of community pleading, you expect a decent turnout. A Forza Horizon 6 player who says a Steam Deck crash has left their Xbox cloud save unusable for 70 days may have run into a real recovery gap—but the record does not support the broader claim that an Xbox console is the only way forward.
