Changes to Security Update Links
Updates have historically been published on both the Microsoft Download Center and the Microsoft Update Catalog and Security Bulletins linked directly to update packages on the Microsoft Download Center.
Some updates will no longer be available from the...
Hi! I'm no stranger to help forums. I feel like I have a fairly good knowledge how W10 works, but I'm learning new things every day. I want to be a good member here and follow the rules. I like to attach links some times to my replies that I have found while searching the web. I don't want to...
I'm running Win 10 with IE 11 and Outlook 2010.
If I click on the links on some emails, I get the message: There was an error decoding this link. Please try the link again, or contact the sender of the email.
This seemed to start after a Microsoft Support Engineer helped me get rid of the...

In this short video Rowan describes shadow properties new in Entity Framework 7. This is a super useful feature for those times when your database and your class model don't quite match up. Would love your thoughts!

I have a question about running "executable" programs in Windows without having to type the extension.
I've recently learned that, in addition to the command prompt and run box, you can also run executable files (.exe, .bat, .lnk, .vbs) from the Windows Explorer address bar. The only problem...

Three weeks ago, on October 27, 2014, I posted a question on this forum (Windows 7 Software), with title: "IE11 fails to go to links".
It's still there.
Surprisingly, no one has replied.
If anyone has an idea I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Should it be in a different forum?
I get this error when links are clicked (will not open) -
>> this operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.
The error started after I deleted Chrome.
I now there is a fix, but I do not understand the instructions.
Please help.
Thank you

Two problems which I found recently that are new (things were fine before). They may be connected or they may be separate problems:
1) I have hyperlinks to web pages in a number of my Excel files, and also in Word files. All of a sudden, the links don't call up the web pages. Instead, I get an...

Hello all.
Sorry in advance if this is posted elsewhere but I cannot find a solution.
My outlook mail is now no longer allowing me to click and open links attached to the mail.
I used to be able to open and view links previously, but lately no show.
It says the System settings need to be...
