Looking for a solution, how to getting an ad hoc network between a windows vista home premium and a windows 7 home premium machine to work? We can easily log on to the network... But can't see each other.
My new windows 7 computer can't see most of the other computers on my network. Only the one running Vista is visible. It saw the network yesterday, but wont even prompt me for my password today. A profile application run on the new machine can see the network. Please advise.

I am using two computers at home, both Windows 7. One is pc, Other is laptop.
Problem is, some file that I downloaded off the net to my laptop, had a 'lock' symbol on its icons..
