Hello folks, I have an old dual boot Windows PC. One OS is Win XP which is on one HDD (has 2 partitions), the other one is Win 7 which is on another HDD (has 2 partitions too). I believe the boot manager was on the Win XP HDD since the dual boot menu was always shown from there. However, the Win...
I am multibooting 3 drives (1 Win10 and 2 Win11) the boot manager on one win11 drive is selected in bios. It works but in addition to the named drives it also lists the three efi partitions which are unbootable -of course. I am not sure why they are there and they are a nuisance. How can I...

Hello, I am a windows 10 user and about a year ago i have upgraded my 1 TB hard drive to an SSD, I have used a tool for that and it worked perfectly fine. The problem is that today, when I had both the SSD and the hard drive active in my system, I tried booting into the hard drive and it just...

I want to create a robust system to support Windows XP and later.
I want to start some old projects like emulation and other old stuff, so I will probably use XP, 7, and 11 on three different partitions.
I want to use a Mini ITX, if possible, or a Micro ATX motherboard.
As a CPU and...

Hi, guys!
Windows 10 (20.04) is holding Ortho4XP-P3D down. The program works fine and fast as long as it's in the Windows' download folder. But It slows down the compiler if I move the program anywhere else or other partitions. I added Ortho4XP-P3D to Controller Folder Access, but it didn't...
Hi,
Can anyone explain why do I have several smaller partitions in my computer? I asked computer shop to add a new
SSD and install operating system on it. When I came home I noticed there were multiple small partitions that are about 100mb.
That Disk(G) that you see on the image is my...
Hi,
I want to install a linux boot loader that will enable me to boot multiple partitions including windows or linux types, is there a program that will run in windows 10 that can do this? Having issues doing it from the linux cd, thanks in advance.
I'm not see a list of hard drives and partitions to choose from. This error usually occurs when installing Windows 7 or a standard NVME hard drive. The reason is that Windows 7 was born quite a long time, while some new machines need newer SATA drivers. What can I do?

I have an old laptop that I thought I'd try and speed up by using it as a Chromebook, however, I want to go back to Windows.
I created a bootable USB Windows 10 drive and booted from that. I have run Win10 on this laptop before.
When I try to install, there are now 27 partitions on the drive...

Hi,
This is my first post hoping to find a solution from some Windows guru.
My question affects all versions of Windows, which presumably support GPT partitions.
I have a USB stick that I partitioned using GPT scheme. I have about 4 or 5 partitions, one of them is an ESP so that I can boot...

Since new my Samsung R540 laptop has had two partitions, C for programs and D for data. I decided to replace the (slow) HDD with a SSD, and in the cloning process somehow everything was put into one partition. Is there any advantage in having separate partitions for programs and data?
