Hi
So I've purchased another mouse and for some reason the manufacturer felt the need to put lights in it which is inconvenient to me at least. Can I disable the live usb ports on the pc so it and the keyboard lights won't be on when the pc is turned off?

When the charger is plugged in the battery charge display is stuck at 8% for several minutes. Other times when the battery is fully charged and the charger is unplugged the battery display remains stuck at 100% for several minutes. The laptop also shuts down due to a low battery. Before it shuts...
I am using Windows 10 (64bit version)..
In recent days I observed that when battery percentage is reached to 40%, my laptop is shut down automatically (suddenly) even without any warning..
Is this a problem with software or with battery?
How can i fix it..
Any suggestions...
Thank you..
Hello!
I was having some trouble with my built-in NIC where internet would disconnect randomly, so I went and purchased a dedicated network card.
This card does not have the same issue, my connection is stable and does not drop, but it does not work at all the first time I turn on my PC. In...
I get a high pitched hiss from the computer upon entry of certain usb slots with usb memory chips. I have never seen this phenomena in previous computers, is there any kind of manipulation available of the power/current of these usb or pci devices which might possibly affect their pitch?
My Windows 10 laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad X220) is failing to wake from sleep. It goes to sleep normally but after half a minute the sleep light goes off (it should stay on), and when I press the button (which should wake it) it reboots, then works normally. The problem occurs on both battery and...
Out little home network has been the victim of relentless hacking for over 2 years.
Something that may be significant is that when the hackers control our computers remotely, they are able to initiate a power-down on the computers. What I mean by that is that Windows 10 does not go through the...
Hi,
We just had a heatwave in the UK and whilst I didnt need to use one of the HDD on my computer as it was running off a SSD, I was annoyed to feel it chucking off heat, is it possible to turn off a HDD electronically rather than prat about unplugging it? I realise unplugging it is minimal...

Hello again,
I am attempting to use my thinkpad 10 tablet ( Windows) as a car front end.
I am getting there ( :-) ), but am still stuck by some problems.
One of these is power management.
I have various peripherals connected via a separately powered usb hub.
so........ I don't need any...
Hi!
I'm new here. I have installed Windows 10.1903 Pro x64.
I'm using many ways to realize tasks. Now I want to ask if is possible to turn on or off monitor (in my case 3 monitors) connected to computer by any command. Best in command line - it needs not extra options, I can plan it by my wish...
This is what I'm seeing:
How can I trace down who 4&232151f9&0 is?
Under Device manager I can see (5) ROOT_HUBs so that doesn't help. All of them removed allow under power management.
Any ideas how to precisely find out which one is responsible?
Thank you in advance.
Assume I boot Win10 but do NOT login.
So currently the Login=Welcome screen is visible.
Does Win10 in this state (auto)search for updates, download and install them?
In other words: Is auto-update Win10 user-independent or a user login required?

I have an Intel i7, and at times I can hear my laptop doing a lot work. I open the task manager to see which app uses so much cpu, and I'd see the cpu usage would be 100%, and 5 seconds later it'd drop down to 20%.
I'm pretty sure it's not a visual bug in the task manager because I can literally...
