I've been struggling with this issue for some time on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine on a gigabit network. Running a typical speed test (e.g., speedtest.net) shows upload bandwidth of around 5 Mbps (600+ kB/s). However, transfers and connections from remote locations through the gatweay are...

I am having an intermittent problem with my network connection dropping out for no apparent reason.
When it drops, I still see the lights blinking on the NIC card, but cannot pass packets even to the router.
Windows does not report the connection or the cable as disconnected when this...

Hi all. I just finished a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit on a brand new computer yesterday.
Here are the specs:
Asus P6T mobo
nVidia GTX 275
seagate 500 gb hard drive
6gb kingston ram
My problem is that my download/upload speeds have decreased significantly, on the same network that I had...
Hello i have installed windows 7 64-bit and, although i am not certain, i think i had good internet speed before i put the 64-bit version. Initially i decided not to use the 64-bit version because i couldnt get the driver of my external USB wi-fi card to be recognized.
It's an SMC WUSB-G EZ...
I was having a hell time with it so go 'adapter settings' then to 'Local Area Connection' IVP4 details and put in the ip address and gateway and DNS manually and turned off QoS Packet Sheduler! This worked for me and I have had no connection issues with it since. Good luck!

A bit of a strange issue here.
I recently purchased a new laptop, and installed W7 RC7100 on it. Brought it to my friends house and my house, both of which were equipped with wireless routers running in mixed g and n modes. Internet worked fine. The touchpad on my laptop bricked after a few...
Hi,
I've been reading for several days no to find a solution, and none of the tips I found over here, nor on the official Windows 7 forum worked for me, I'm completely puzzled by what's happening to my internet.
First of all, it seems I have a similar problem to a lot of people -> My LAN...

Hi!
playing with 7100 here, love the new OS, but one thing is driving me crazy.. SLOW internet download speed.
In XP I can download with 1000 kb/s (~10000 kbit/s)
In 7 I download with only 100-200kb/s. WTF??
I disabled QoS, IPV6, Used the SpeedGuide.net TCPOptimizer... nothing. Still slow...
