Will you buy Window 7 without Toolbars?
Please don’t remain silent about the Toolbar issue. I for one will state right now, that I WILL NOT upgrade to Windows 7 if I don’t have all my toolbars. It won’t happen!

I don't know when but I have started to have some system sound problems. I first noticed the problem when I launched Play 65 Backgammon and although the game works OK no sound is heard during the game. Also email sound notification of custom sounds have also...

One thing that annoys me in windows 7 is the new dock style taskbar because the only way of really knowing what an icon is, is to hover over the icon and wait for the tooltip to appear.
In OSX the same problem exists however the name of the app appears straight away when you hover over the...

Here is the solution:
You should go to www.hp.com and search for HP Quick Launch Buttons drivers for your laptop model (mine is hp pavilion dv9000) so I download the sp38171.exe to some place in my computer...
...once the download is finished you should open this file and...
I prefer to only use it to keep track of running programs. My monitor is pretty small (17 inch 1024x768). If I use it to launch programs there won't be room for that plus any miscellaneous programs that I might use.

In windows XP, I've got quite used to using a customised quick launch toolbar, for starting applications.
As you can imagine I was delighted to find Windows 7's new taskbar elegantly mimics this way of working.
I am however frustrated that it is no longer possible to drag and drop files onto...
Honestly everybody knows the taskbar is probably the most updated feature of windows 7 however i think it has a major flaw that is going to make people try to get the quick launch back...
there is no simple way of adding one click access to a favorite folder or a hard drive... You cannot...
There was a work-around to make this , but that same trick didn't work in 7. Is there something similar in 7 to make this possible?
I hate having icons on my desktop and I'd prefer to not use the quick launch trick to clutter up the taskbar.
Any thoughts?
By default Quick Launch is disabled in Windows 7. This will show you how to enable or disable Quick Launch on the taskbar in Windows 7.

I have to say that the Windows7 beta1 has been a wonderful experience. The installation was a snap. The 32bit version found all the drivers it needed. With a few very minor rough edges, like not remembering to show my thumbnails extra large, it works amazingly well. I feel more comfortable with...

I dragged a url from the address bar in Google Chrome to the Start Menu to pin it there for frequent use. It shows up as an Internet shortcut with the default browser (Firefox, atm) and it is...
