I already have Windows 7 (Pro64Bit) Installed on a 500GB Drive,
I would like to Add a RAID0 Volume with 2 other 1TB Drives
I have Gone into My Intel Raid Manager on my (ASUS P6T SE mobo) and selected to configure Sata as RAID and then added my 2 1TB drives as a RAID0
I Have also...
Sorry, if this should be in the hardware forum... I am doing a fresh (bare metal) install.
I am experiencing a weird problem with Win7 not remembering drive letter.
I am hoping that someone has run across this problem and has the answer.
I tried "Diskpart automount enable". It did not work...
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P61-S3 (rev. 2.0)
Ive installed the rest of the drivers provided by manufacturer except the SATA RAID/AHCI ones. The Intel Rapid Storage Technology gave me an error that I dont meet the system requirements so I no longer insisted with the others...
Anybody else seen this behavior? Why would changing a SATA controller to a different mode (AHCI to RAID) cause Windows to become deactivated? No Hard Drive changes were made.
I will give it some time to see if it comes back, but this is strange.
I do have Media Center installed, possibly the...

Running Windows 7 in a RAID 0, and periodically I will get a boot failure error with the message No default or UI configuration directive found. This usually happens if I do some kind of heavy maintenance on my system. For example I might remove my graphics card or cpu cooler to blow the dust...
BSOD happens frequently either during high load (gameing, video editing etc...) or when a USB device is plugged in. I'm about to buy a new mobo because of this.... thoughts?

Hello,
I will try to be as detailed about my problem as possible.
While browsing using Chrome I received frequent recurring unresponsive warnings, followed by screen corruption/artifacting, followed by my first BSod (In 7). Attached to this post is a screenshot of the DMB File as detected by...
Have just today wiped my RAID 0 array and secure erased both my OCZ agilty 3 SSD's, decided to not run in RAID again (kinda unstablke at times) so have reinstalled Windows 7 64-bit on a single SSD (only had one hooked up during install to prevent windows 7 install partitions getting split...

Instinctively, you may believe that it is necessary to install drivers for your components, once you have Windows 8 up and running. This may not be the case, however, and historically has not been. If your device, whether it be a PCI card, a USB device, or even something connected to a serial...

I have read that one should not defragment a SSD Drive. If this is true then... My OS is windows 7 64bt. I am have 2 256GB SSDs running in raid 1 as my 'C' drive and 2-2TB hard drives are 'D' & 'E'.
My system tells me that windows is handling the defragmentation of my drives. What I would...
First time posting and I am at my wit's end. I pride myself in my knowledge of hardware and software, but I can not figure this one out.
I recently purchased a Hauppage 2250 TV tuner card and installed it in my computer. At near the same time, I installed a RAID card to bring my two 250gb...

Hi everyone,
I went from an OEM to a custom built PC with just the graphic card remaining from that OEM system. For most of the time, I experienced BSODs when booting up, but also several times from within Windows, idling or under load.
I figured the mistake (no AHCI in BIOS) and made a clean OS...
