Dell laptop E5500 running windows 7 x64.
DVD ROM appears in device manager after start up for a few seconds then disappears. Showing Error Code 45 (not connected to computer)
Earlier this evening it also showed error code 10 (device cannot start)
Opening and closing the tray prompts it...

Hi everyone.
My issue is that the company group policy is roll out windows updates from the internal WUS server.
I haven't had a response from IT if they will be managing Windows 7 Updates as yet but in the mean time I was wondering if there was a way to rve-enable my access. Rather be safe...
