I'm having trouble identifying the cause of numerous BSODs and hoping someone can be of some help.
The first few BSODs would happen during gaming sessions which resulted in > irql_not_less_or_equal > nvlddmkm.sys. I tried updating video card drivers, then completely removing and updating with...

Hello, I was having this issue for about a day now and it super annoying. Some services like Windows Search don't work, and I can't start them. My cursor keeps on spinning and I don't know what's causing it. When I boot in safe mode I keep on getting an illegal instruction error that keeps on...
My desktop started throwing up an occasional Page Fault In Non Page Area BSOD. It accelerated to the point that it was happening daily then multiple times a day, with an occasional Memory Management BSOD. The system is now essentially useless; I can rarely get it to run for more than a minute...

How can I recover 15 GB of C: partition ssd space that WinDirStat shows as "unknown" and I cannot access? I know this "unknown" 15 GB is real because Windows File Explorer shows there is an unexplained shortage of disk space. Its 15 GB or perhaps more.
I don't have a problem accounting for the...

Since I've taken up gaming I've been paying particular attention to CPU core percentages and fan speed. I have a Rainmeter Widget that shows bar graphs for the individual cores. I've seen it peg all four cores at 100% for almost 10 minutes during game installation. The fans never came on. I used...
So I'm having trouble finding and installing updates, and that has led me to an issue with DISM while trying to fix it.
When i run DISM, "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" it returns an error:87 the Cleanup-Image option is unknown.
I can run "Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /?" and it will...

I am running windows 10 1709 Build 16299.19.
Running sfc /scannow gives an error that mfc90.dll cannot
be fixed. I have then run dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth.
After again running sfc /scannow I still get the same error, cannot be fixed.
What do I do to correct this?

Hi,
I have now rolled back to a known good backup but I still like to know why it BSOD.
I did install Kiwi (syslog server) and after that it did crash, like 20-30min after I did install Kiwi or something like that so I guess it was because of Kiwi or it was because of HP's update of iLO but that...
It seems to me that the well known command
sfc /scannow .....
appends all logmessages to a possibly already existing CBS.LOG file rather than create a new logfile.
Is this correct?
So if I want to have a fresh logfile just with the results from the last sfc run I have to manually delete the...

Hello, again. I was wondering if it's advisable to run SFC /scannow on a regular basis, or only if your PC is experiencing issues, sort of similar to running an AV program regularly. What say you? Thanks...Ed
