A couple days ago, my computer hung after going into an idle induced sleep. It would not wake up. I had to power off. This problem continues.
Another symptom is it will not shutdown or hybernate. It starts back up again. Things I've already done:
Uninstall Roxio

I have experienced several BSOD since working with Win 7 - many more than with years of using XP.
My online reading suggested that Hibernate was to blame - I only had the problem after restarting from hibernate and had to ditch the recovery file to get the machine to restart.
So I disabled...
Every night I go to shut down my computer. But as soon as it seems to be finished powering down, the system restarts immediately. I have tried disabling automatic restart, but it doesn't seem to be a BlueScreen error issue, as I am not getting any BlueScreens.
Another possibly related issue...

I recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 (64 bit) on my Acer 4810T-8480. One problem I've been noticing frequently is that when I tell the computer to sleep or even just close the laptop lid, the screen will go black, but the power light will stay on, as opposed to blinking orange as it used...

I've searched around for this issue but haven't quite found one which is the same.
I'm running 64-Bit W7, and my computer seems to go to sleep/hibernate randomly, for no particular reason. Like, I could be in the middle of typing an e-mail (hence obviously the computer is...
When I resume my Windows 7 Pro x64 computer from sleep, it sometimes displays horizontal white lines and "uninstalls" the audio device until i reboot. The lines also appear during UAC prompts. What is wrong? I am running on an ATI Radeon X1200 display, AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and windows 7...
I love the fact that the time from sleep to wake (appearance of logon screen) has been shortened in the upgrade; but I am experiencing even more, residual lag once I have logged on than with Vista. In other words, I get a logon screen fast and logged in fast; but nothing I click on to execute...
