After replacement of a harddisk in my NAS I want to shovel back about 1 TB files from my PC win10 64 bit to it.
Tried it first with robocopy. File transfers ended when some mp4, some tif files were to be copied. Error message - Other app using them. Resource monitor showed no handles to these...

I've been struggling with this issue for some time on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine on a gigabit network. Running a typical speed test (e.g., speedtest.net) shows upload bandwidth of around 5 Mbps (600+ kB/s). However, transfers and connections from remote locations through the gatweay are...

When I copy a file from the server the copying process becomes slower and slower until the screen goes off and after some time a message is displayed "Display Driver Has Stopped Responding and has recovered." But the file is copied. What could be the reason for this. We have a N/w of 3 computers.
Fixes a problem in which the transfer of a large file between a computer and an external IEEE 1394 device is very slow. This problem occurs on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 and that has at least 4GB of RAM.

I have W7 x64 Ultimate on 10.10.10.2, connected via a switch to 10.10.10.1, my internet gateway running XP x32 SP3 (etc etc). Both machines are in the same workgroup, etc, and the private connection has NO firewalling at either end. I have uninstalled connection strangling...
When I copy files from HDD to USB Device progress jumps from 0 to 90% fast (as it should), but then it stops and "freezes" on 90% and after a while (dependent on the size of file) the move/copy procedure finishes. In result it takes 30+ secs to copy a 200MB file instead of about 17 to 20...
I previously owned a XP Media Center PC and a XP Pro laptop.
I had them networked on a wireless N network, which also included my Xbox 360.
I never had any issue transferring files between the PC and Laptop or streaming videos/music to my 360.
Fast forward. I now have a new PC and a...

Hi
Copying data on to my new Windows7 PC (from my old PC) seems EXTREMELY slow.
For example copying about 1.5GB of various data files takes over 50 minutes
(claimed speed c.500KB/sec)
However I have a new-ish "good quality" Router and the network adapters
for both my PCs claim to be running...
