I'm running Win11 Home stable (22000.254), and the systray icon tooltips are still popping up to the left of the icons (like time and date, battery status, wifi, etc) when hovering over the taskbar. These tooltips can show up anywhere upon hovering over the taskbar items, like Search, Task View...
When I look at the auto-start list then I found an entry for edge browser
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --type=service /prefetch8
Furthermore "Meet Now" icon appears in Systray.
How can I disable auto-start of the two programs?
Is it necessary to uninstall...
Occasionally it happens that most of my SysTray icons disappear resp. are hidden.
See attached snapshot
Whats wrong?
How can I let them re-appear (beside re-boot my 64bit Win7) system?

This has been happening recently every time I boot up.
Sometimes its "Not connected - No connections are available" or it can be "Network Internet access" when it is connected.
It goes when I double click the network icon but that isn't really a solution as it shouldn't get stuck there in the...
Hi All ,
We were able to do minimize the pop up while saving a file successfully on our local machines which are Windows 8 and above, by going to task manager and locating the application and right clicking and then choosing "minimize". however when we are trying to do the same in windows 7...
I do NOT want to upgrade to Windows 10! I have disabled the systray icon and have uninstalled the installed Windows 10 KB updates and hidden them, I've even followed a regedit that will prevent my system from updating to Windows 10, however, my Windows Update is now stuck at "Your Upgrade to...

In a hotel I connected to the local WLAN.
Sometimes Windows 7 WLAN Systray tells me at this time "Limited access".
The signal strength is (officiallly) good.
So what means "Limited access" in this context?
Occasionally I want to switch between different keyboard languages (english/german/russian).
Therefore I used in the past the keyboard change indicator menu in Taskbar/Systray.
However recently this indicator disappeared.
How can I Windows 8 tell to re-show it again?
If possible I would...

Hi windows7forums users,I was wondering if it would be possible to hide the "customize..." link from the window of hidden tray icons. Do you know how to do it? :confuzed:Link Removedvewiu
I have setup my TaskBar with auto-hide.
So it hides after 3 seconds. Fine.
But lot of programs sent notifications on certain events to their icon in Systray.
This makes the TaskBar automatically always re-appear and forces users to click on the corresponding icon which is very annoying.
How...
I've scoured the net to no avail. I DO NOT WANT TO RAISE THE TASK BAR, I simply want to see what I used to see before this glitch occurred. I've adjusted the region settings and everything else I could find, no go. My lap top, HP Win 7 64 bit, displays the entire name of the day, the short...

When I turn on the (physical button) "wireless Lan" at my notebook then automatically the bluetooth device seems to be activated as well. A folder "Bluetooth" is created and an icon "bluetooth" appears in my systray.
The bubble info tells my "bluetooth is not discoverable".
WLAN seems to works...

Hi!
This has been bugging me for a while, we got the full version of 7 Pro through Microsoft Action Pack a few months back but i've waited until the general release as I thought maybe it would have been solved with an update of some kind before the full release.
Anyway, after leaving the PC on...
Noticed this for a while now, no matter what so far the Networking Icon continues to display a red X through the icon even though when hovering over it it shows connected to the internet. A little issue but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem?
