  1. Windows 7 Problems with IE 8.0

After installing Windows 7 (32 bit, clean full install), I noticed my access to internet sites was intolerably slow (40-45 seconds minimum access time every time I tried to go to a new web site). I was using IE 8.0 that apparently installed with Windows. I also noticed an extraordinary number of...

Windows 7 Toolbars disappear after system reset

Hi, I am having a problem... The custom toolbars on my task bar completely vanish after every soft and hard reset. I don't see anything I could have changed to cause this to happen, but I have disabled quite a few things in gpedit. Does anyone know what processes/settings are used to retain...

    Windows 7 Folders Question

Folders in XP were easy to work with. My preference was for few tool bars, and just a simple arrangement of icons sorted in a way that worked for me. Some folders were big (lots of icons) and some small. I can’t get this to work in XP. It seems to set all folders the same way. Tool...

VIDEO Docking toolbars in Windows 7

There was a work-around to make this , but that same trick didn't work in 7. Is there something similar in 7 to make this possible? I hate having icons on my desktop and I'd prefer to not use the quick launch trick to clutter up the taskbar. Any thoughts?

    Windows 7 Wonderful Experience

I have to say that the Windows7 beta1 has been a wonderful experience. The installation was a snap. The 32bit version found all the drivers it needed. With a few very minor rough edges, like not remembering to show my thumbnails extra large, it works amazingly well. I feel more comfortable with...

    Windows Vista Stardock

Anyone else try Stardock's line of goodies for sprucing up your desktops? From themes to toolbars to icons and a lot more. While it may get a little costly it can also be a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I for one love AERO and only hope it improves even more. Eye candy is my...

Windows Vista Hm, just a question.

Before the question, I had a 2,000 dollar PC that was crap, 930~ MHZ of Processor, 128 MB of RAM, (recently upgraded to 512) and was a stupid Compaq. I got a new nicer 2.8 GHz 1 GB Pentium 4 Hyperthreading black Dell tower for 300$, with Windows XP, and my old PC has Windows ME and I don't want...
