This program seems to have arrived with my win 7 Ultimate. Everytime I try to use my (very old MS Office) Office Enterprise tries to install itself. I'm not keen on a newer version, but I'd be prepared to let it install. Only....the install fails, saying it is missing EnterpriseWW.msi. I...

Today i installed windows 7 64 bit using the custom install option. I had vista 32 bit before i installed windows seven so i thought the installation would do a clean installation and delete everything on my disk drive except the windows 7 os. But when it was done, i still had my old files...

I got a discount price on a win7 upgrade cause I am in college. I had 32bit vista. I chose the 64bit win7 upgrade cause my pc can handle it easily. I understand to go from 32 to 64 a clean install is needed. So today I did the upgrade, and thought I did a clean install. I have two hard...

I've just changed to 64 bit from my previous 32 bit system via a clean install. My question. Is it OK to delete the "Windows Old" file which takes up 60gb on my hard drive? I have done this before and it was OK, I just wondered if there was an issue with the transfer to 64 bit format.
Was running Vista Home 32 bit system. I always had problems with Vista so I wanted to upgrade to 7 ASAP. I never could get the upgrade advisior to run, I couldn't load 7 in as an upgrade either. I always got and error. I had all of my data backed up on a external so last night I did the...
When I installed Windows 7 on top of XP, it seems that my audio drivers were just not found, and the audio icon appears with a big red X. I click this red X in order to see if it can solve the issue, but it does not, and returns a "hardware changes may not have been detected". Device manager...
I recently, like many people upgraded to Windows 7, it created a file called "windows.old" in which all my files from Vista were saved. I tried to access Office, specifically PowerPoint. It comes up with an error message "The Operating System is not presently configured to run theis...
This is what I get when I try to copy a file from the backup dvd i made when I was still using XP.
I double checked that the disk was working properly and the files were there OK by opening the file in another computer using XP and another using Vista.

I am hoping there is some small chance here. In anticipation for installing Windows 7 on my main drive I installed my new 1TB SATA drive as secondary under XP, formatted it and moved files to it. I had no problems accessing anything so I didn't think there would be any problem when I tried the...

A simple question; I backed up all my files before installing Windows 7 RC. The installation made a film called Windows old that takes up 46GB. Can this file be deleted without harm to my system?
If I put the drivers from system32 in the windows.old folder
into the windows 7 drivers folder...would that help some drivers be seen properly?
Can I do that? or will that cause errors?
In my C:, I have 2 folders. One is called windows and the other is windows.old. Is this normal? Do I need to keep the .old one? Please let me know. I am hoping a few different people can answer me.
