OK guys hope you can help me I just bought son a new pc installed windows 7 ultimate and keep getting these bsods, anyway a bit of background, I did have a gtx260 installed but I have removed this as I thought this was the cause and I was gonna rma it, I have tested the ram with memtest86+ , the 2bsods i`m getting are a bad pool header one that seems to happen when watching movies online or just online and I have also had a system thread exception one that seems to happen when playing games, the spec for the pc is as follows.

ASrock N68C-S
AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9ghz
2gb DDR3 (geil cl9-9-9 DDR 3 1333)
500gb HDD (Hitachi HDS721050CLA SCSI Disk Device)

Have uploaded the four dump files from most recent dumps.View attachment dump.zipView attachment dump.zip

Hey there.

No, the video card is not the cause of problems. You can reinstall it.

What you really want to do is get rid of that AVG which has caused the stop errors. Here is a special tool to use, to do so in safe mode:

AV Uninstallers - Windows 7 Forums

I recommend installing MSE after since it never causes bsod and is light on resources.

----------

You'll want to update the video card driver from here:
Code:
nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Tue Jul 14 15:54:48 2009

Link Removed - Invalid URL

----------

You should also install this latest NVIDIA chipset driver package for the motherboard:

ftp://174.142.97.10/drivers/NVIDIA/AllIn1/AllIn1_Win7(15.37).zip

----------

You'll be fine after doing these things. Enjoy.

WOW super fast reply thanks for the advice will do as you suggest and post back on how it all goes cheers TorrentG

Hi again I took all the steps that you suggested, removed AVG with the removal tool in safe mode, uninstalled nvidia chipset and graphics drivers and then removed all traces with driver sweeper in safe mode, from what I could tell I already had the latest chipset drivers but I uninstalled anyways, then installed all the latest drivers from the links you kindly provided but it doesn`t seem to have worked I am still getting the same bsods latest 2 have been provided, any more suggestions would be much appreciated.

The problem you're now having definitely involves tcp/ip, which is networking. Here the stack text of the crash:

To fix this, this driver must be updated:

Code:
nvmf6232 nvmf6232.sys Thu Apr 30 15:45:40 2009
Unrelated, but I'd like to see this one updated as well so there are no future problems for you:
Code:
 nvstor32 nvstor32.sys Tue Jun 30 20:17:14 2009
Here is NVIDIA's chipset package applicable for your motherboard - (nForce 630i chipset), version 15.49 - you previously had 15.37.

Installing this will be the difference for you:

NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49 WHQL

Enjoy, and as always, please keep us informed and if necessary, post new crashes.

I have just downloaded this package and then noticed that you have named my chipset nForce 630i but my chipset is listed in everest as 630a, now I may be sounding a bit dumb but does this make a difference.

forget this post did some reading and figured it out gonna update now.

Yep. 630a it is. Typo on my behalf...

The link is still the correct one and the driver package should be still be installed.

ok updated the driver package I haven`t had any bsods that were occuring before but those happen randomly, but I was getting one when playing cod4 so I tried playing that again and got the dreaded bsod after about 10 minutes of play any more suggestions greatly appreciated

Hello,

Run a Hardware Diagnostic (Memory and Hard Drive) follow this link for instructions Link Removed - Invalid URL

Try this free video stress test: FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

- Captain

lol

When you ran Driver Sweeper, you deleted your "good" video driver that we fixed before.

Install it again to update this and again, you'll be fine :) New chipset drivers you installed look well.

Code:
nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Tue Jul 14 15:54:48 2009

ok guys back again I have run the test captain jack suggested all came back with no errors, I didn`t run the gpu test as i`m still using onboard graphics thought I should sort these bsods out first, TorrentG I have reinstalled the graphics driver that I uninstalled, I removed it by mistake, I have uploaded the latest 2 minidumps that occured today. I was wondering should I reinstall my gtx 260 before I sort these bsods or wait till the problems are solved first. Can I say thanks for all your help it is much appreciated.

Reboot to bios. Disable onboard video. Save. Turn off the machine. Install the GTX260. Boot to Windows. Install the latest driver for it from NVIDIA's site:

Very welcome.

Everything else is well in the system, as all errors are video/graphics related. Installing your card should fix that.

ok installed gtx260, installed latest drivers from nvidia website, also did the furmark stress test, I did select to log the test but can`t seem to find the log file on my system, anyway I got the temp up to 83 degrees and it just stayed like that for ten mins so I ended the test, went to play cod 4 again after about 30 seconds got another bsod posted below.

Uninstall MagicDisc to get rid of this old driver from the system:

Code:
mcdbus mcdbus.sys Tue Feb 24 05:42:13 2009

The crash again was involving video and DirectX. Perhaps this above driver was causing some corruption, as it's known for that.

If there are any patches to the game itself, install.

Hi again back to try and sort this bsod problem when playing games, I have run the furmark test again , ran it for 30 minutes with no problems temp rose quickly to 80 degrees and stayed at that temp for 25 minutes with no other problems, I have tried another game Batman Arkum ASylum and the bsod happens just the same as it did with cod 4, I have also downloaded the SF diag tool zipped the results and uploaded them, any more suggestions would be appreciated.

For the heck of it and because it's has an "unnecessary" driver, I would uninstall Sandra.

The error is definitely happening because of the video card, but I don't really think it is the driver's fault. I would make sure (all) the monitor(s) driver(s) from the manufacturer(s) are installed.

While playing games, use RivaTuner to set the fan speed to max. See if any crashes happen like this.

Update the motherboard bios to latest if not already.

Did all the steps that you suggested
uninstalled sandra
installed monitor driver
already have the latest bios for my mobo
installed riva tuner set fans to 100%
Still no change latest 2 bsod files uploaded. Dont see anything different in them though.
