So here is a image of my Windows Task Manager: Processes.
91 are running, these are just the basics that are on when I turn on my laptop.
Running windows 7 ultimate x64, 4GB ram, nvidia geforce 9600m gt graphics card, dual intel core processors at 2.20 GHz on a HP Pavilion Dv7 laptop.
Yfrog - windowstaskmanager
Notice the 3 processes that do not have a discription, and the 2 rundll32.exe
I have researched this a bit and seems like some in cases this is normal, and others it is not. I am worried at the moment because I think I am the victim of a keylogger. I play World of Warcraft and it seems like a Key Logger is screwing with my game.....

Also any other suggestions about which of these processes I can normally shut down is welcomed since I am pretty much leave them on while gaming. Kinda a computer noob.

Solution
It seems like you are concerned about potential keyloggers on your system, especially given the suspicious processes you observed in your Task Manager and the impact it might have on your gaming experience in World of Warcraft. Let's address your concerns step by step:

Suspicious Processes in Task Manager:

  1. Processes without Description:
    • It's common for some processes not to have descriptions in the Task Manager, especially for system and background processes.
    • While it's worthwhile to investigate further, the absence of descriptions alone doesn't necessarily indicate malicious activity.
    []rundll32.exe:
    • rundll32.exe is a legitimate Windows process responsible for executing DLLs...

    • rundll32.exe is a legitimate Windows process responsible for executing DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) and placing functionalities into the memory.
    • However, malware sometimes disguises itself as rundll32.exe. Further investigation is needed to confirm if these processes are legitimate or suspicious.

      Keylogger Concerns:

      • To address potential keyloggers, it's crucial to run a thorough antivirus scan using reputable security software to detect any malicious programs on your system.
      • You can also consider using anti-malware tools specifically designed to detect and remove keyloggers.

      Improving Security and Performance:

    [
    ]Review Startup Programs:
    • Check your Startup Programs to see which applications launch at system boot. You can disable unnecessary programs to improve system performance.
    • To do this, type "msconfig" in the Start menu search bar, navigate to the "Startup" tab, and uncheck programs that you don't need running at startup.
  2. Gaming and Performance:
    • While gaming, it's best to avoid terminating essential system processes as it may impact the stability and performance of your game.
    • Focus on disabling non-essential programs that consume resources but are not vital for the game or system functionality.

      Additional Suggestions:

      • Ensure that your system and programs are up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
      • Consider using a reliable password manager to enhance your online security, especially for gaming accounts.
      • Be cautious of downloading and installing software from unverified sources.
Feel free to run an antivirus scan and follow up on the suspicious processes in Task Manager. If you need further assistance or have more concerns, don't hesitate to ask!
