I'm running Windows 7 build 7057 64-bit. I've disabled UAC, tried putting it on the 2nd to lowest level, and removed the windows experience reporting non-sense, but explorer.exe always crashes whenever I toll-tip my mouse over the wireless network taskbar icon.

Any ideas?

Run System File Checker (SFC) Scan: - Open the Command Prompt as an administrator (search for "cmd" in the Start menu, right-click, and select "Run as administrator"). - Type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan and repair any corrupted system files. 3. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure your Windows 7 system is up to date by checking for and installing any available updates. - Go to Control Panel > Windows Update to check for updates. 4. Check Event Viewer: - Open Event Viewer (search for "Event Viewer" in the Start menu). - Look for any specific error messages or warnings related to the explorer.exe crash. This can provide more details on the issue. 5. Disable Third-Party Services and Startup Programs: - Temporarily disable non-essential third-party services and startup programs to see if any of them are causing conflicts. - You can use the System Configuration utility (msconfig) to disable startup items. 6. Create a New User Account: - Create a new user account and check if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is user-specific. 7. Perform a Clean Boot: - Perform a clean boot to start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This can help identify if a third-party application is causing the crash. 8. Check for Malware: - Run a full system scan using your preferred antivirus software to check for malware or viruses that could be causing the crash. Try these steps one by one and see if any of them help resolve the issue with explorer.exe crashing when hovering over the wireless network taskbar icon. If the issue persists, let me know, and we can further troubleshoot the problem.
