Windows 7 About that watermark...

My Amazon-purchased Windows 7 upgrade which I clean installed as x64 now shows the "Windows 7, Build 7600." It appeared after reseating a clumsily installed memory module, updating nVidia drivers and adding Divx player and codecs. Not sure which (if any) of these might be involved. I am activated w/ Microsoft.

I see the watermark removal utilities but I'm wondering why I'm marked in the first place. Thanks.

There is no watermark on my Win 7. But if you google Windows 7 toolkit and find it... .. it will take the watermark off the Rc version.

How about a snapshot?

Thanks, T. I've attached a screen cap of my desktop. Note watermark at lower right corner. Again, this should not have been an RC.

7600 is final.. but I haven't seen it on an any version I have installed.. and i've installed over 4 from various iso's

the program I told you about will take it off

I have the same issue. It happened last night. I booted up and there it was.

What toolkit are you referring to? I searched and found one from microsoft, but it says windows 7 beta toolkit. Is that the right one to use?

Thanks.
