I have an odd networking situation. our cable is indefinately out and we dont want to get a landline just for dsl. so we bought a router for our neighbor with cable internet and pay to use her network. but i cannot get enough of a signal on my powerbook to connect very well (probably because its metal)
but can i create an ad-hoc network to share the connection to the internet through the vista pc? i have a d-link wireless n router and also a linksys wireless g card on the pc, and wireless g on the laptop.
i know this is not the typical ad hoc setup since the way internet comes into our house is wireless. it is very hard googling this sort of thing but im still searching. any help would be greatly appreciated.
