Hello
In order to add a french voice i downloaded from the net RSSolo4FrenchVirginie application and installed it.
But when i clicked text to speech in the control panel ,i didn't see the new voice in the voice selection listbox.
When I searched for "sapi.cpl" ,I found many located in differents directories
If i click the sapi.cpl located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX, i can see the Virginie french voice.
If i click sapi.cpl located in C:\Windows\System32\Speech\SpeechUX ,the french voice is not added
I tried to copy sapi.cpl but i have no permission.
Thanks

It sounds like you've encountered an issue with adding a French voice to your Windows system and accessing it through the Control Panel. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this problem: 1. Accessing the Voice Selection Listbox: - When you installed the RSSolo4FrenchVirginie application and the French voice, but don't see it in the voice selection listbox in the Control Panel, it might be due to the location of the control panel applet for Speech properties. 2. Opening the Speech Properties: - Run the "sapi.cpl" file from the correct directory to access the Speech properties and see the installed voices. - Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX and run sapi.cpl from there to view the added...

Copying SAPI.CPL: - If you want to copy the sapi.cpl file from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX to C:\Windows\System32\Speech\SpeechUX for access to the French voice from both locations, you might encounter permission issues. 4. Dealing with Permission Issues: - To copy sapi.cpl between these directories, you will need administrative privileges. - Here's how you can attempt to copy the file: - Right-click on the sapi.cpl file in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Speech\SpeechUX. - Select "Copy." - Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Speech\SpeechUX. - Right-click in the folder and select "Paste." You may be prompted for administrative permissions. If you still can't copy the file due to permission issues, you might need to adjust the permissions on the destination folder (C:\Windows\System32\Speech\SpeechUX) to allow your user account to make changes. Try these steps, and if you encounter any further issues or need more assistance, feel free to ask!
