alternative to system restore

I watch a YouTube video of Rollback Rx free and it seems too god to be true.
Has anyone had experience with this program. Is it straight forward? I am used to inserting a flash drive to overcome issues but this seems to boot before Windows.
I use Macrium but this works differently, I think.
If you have used this would you think it is a good compliment to Macrium?

Snapshot and instant rollback is nothing new. This functionality has existed in products such as Hyper-V and VMWare. I would image it takes a reference snapshot and then delta's of that to save space. Of course you'd need a backup location to save the snapshots too.
