Hi folks

Im running build 7022 (had issue with 7075 as well) and if i manually go to a samba share in explorer (\\server\share) it opens up fine. However if i map it, then reboot, its states cant connect and will then prompt me for a username and password (which it doesnt need)

Any help?

David

Save your credentials when mapping

  • Remove the mapping if it is there.
  • Reconnect to the share.
  • Right click to map a network drive
  • Click the check box "Use different credentials"
  • Click Finish
  • Enter your username and password that your share will recognize
  • Click check box for "Remember my credentials"

Thanks for the answer, but the whole point was that the Samba share doesnt need a username and password at all.
