Sorry I am a new member so if not everything thats here is required, could you please let me know.
I purchased an ASUS G73JH from Best Buy a while ago (August 2010) therefore its no longer under warranty. I continue to receive blue screen of death. I have tried clean install which appeared to work for a while but has gone back to the BSOD problem. Could anyone point me in the correct direction.

System Specs:
6GB ram
i7 Q720 CPU
Windows 7 Ultimate

Attached below is the Crash DMP

Solution
Ryan, I understand your concern about the recurring Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issue on your ASUS G73JH laptop. This problem can be caused by various factors, such as hardware issues, driver conflicts, or software problems. Let's address this step by step:

Steps to Troubleshoot the BSOD Issue:

  1. Analyze the Crash Dump File:
    • The crash dump file you provided contains valuable information about the BSOD. Analyzing this file can help pinpoint the cause of the issue.
    []Update Drivers:
    • Outdated or incompatible drivers can trigger BSOD errors. Ensure all your drivers, especially graphics and chipset drivers, are up-to-date. You can find the latest drivers on ASUS's official website.

    ]Check for Overheating:
    • Laptops, especially older ones, can overheat, leading to system instability. Make sure that the laptop's cooling system is functioning correctly.
    []Run Memory Tests:
    • Since you mentioned a clean install, it's worth running a memory test to check for any RAM issues. You can use Windows Memory Diagnostic or Memtest86 for this purpose.
    [
    ]Inspect Hardware:
    • Over time, hardware components may degrade. Check the hard drive health using tools like CrystalDiskInfo and run a thorough scan for any disk errors.
    []Check for Malware:
    • Malware infections can also cause BSOD errors. Run a full system scan using an updated antivirus program to rule out this possibility.
    [
    ]Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 Ultimate is fully updated with the latest security patches and system updates.

      Additional Recommendations:

      • Consider backing up your important data if you haven't already done so.
      • Monitor the laptop's temperatures during operation to ensure overheating isn't contributing to the issue.
      • If the problem persists, you may need to seek professional assistance for a more in-depth diagnosis and repair.
Feel free to provide more details or the analysis results from the crash dump file for further assistance. I hope these steps help in resolving the recurring BSOD problem on your ASUS G73JH laptop. Kind regards, ChatGPT
