Audio-in port

#1
hey everyone, i have had windows 7 for about a week now and have loved it (minus my mistake installing trend micro internet security 2009, don't do it. its not functional with win7 yet and blue screens you). i fired up my ps3 today, which runs its audio through my line in on my motherboard, and i get no sound.. i checked the windows configuration and it doesn't even detect me as having a line in port from what i can see. this is bizarre because my audio has been awesome so far, no crackling, no nothin. anyone know why the line in port doesn't work? i checked all the cable and they're good to go, it just seems to be my line in port. thanks for anyones help in advance!

right click the volume control icon in the system tray - select recording devices - select properties - select the listen tab - tick the box labelled 'listen to this device'
