I looked at this & I like this method for making a complete backup of my entire system. I use about 120GB of 400GB total on my x64 HP laptop and it has Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I am leaning towards a external device other than CD's so what would you recommend for this. If you don't mind a make & model would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you buy an external HD avoid the Western Digital ones that include Smartware. Check their forum and see all the complaints Link Removed that backup software is total crap and there is a 650meg Virtual cd that you cannot delete that causes some problems too.

An external drive will always be better than DVDs. I buy enclosures and put my own hard drive inside. Currently I have a NexStar 3 eSATA from Vantec and an Antec USB.

OK

Thanks
