Hi guys,

Sorry if this board is wrong.
I have a Microsoft Surface Pro X.
I connect to a terminal server Windows Server 2012 via RDP.
Sometimes in the remote session I have a black box in Outlook.

When Outlook is minimized and maximized that black box is goes and comes.
Tried to disable hardware graphics acceleration in Outlook settings but it doesn't help.
No one else on the server has the same issue.

If someone knows how to fix it please let me know.

]Disable Hardware Graphics Acceleration in Outlook:
    • Revisit the option in Outlook settings to disable hardware graphics acceleration. Ensure that this setting is correctly disabled to rule out its impact on the issue.
[]Enable/Disable Graphic Acceleration on Surface Pro X:
    • Check the graphics acceleration settings on the Surface Pro X itself. Try enabling or disabling certain graphic acceleration features in Windows settings to evaluate their effect on the black box issue.
    [
    ]Monitor Resource Usage:
    • Check the resource consumption on your Surface Pro X while connected to the remote server. High resource consumption, especially GPU usage, might contribute to the display anomaly. Use the Task Manager to monitor resource usage.
[]Restart the Remote Session or Surface Pro X:
    • Sometimes, the issue can be temporary. Try restarting the Remote Desktop session or the Surface Pro X to see if the black box disappears upon reconnection.
    [
    ]Check for Specific Outlook Add-Ins:
    • Outlook add-ins could sometimes impact the display. Disable any unnecessary add-ins to see if any of them are causing the black box issue in Outlook.

      Conclusion:

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and address the black box issue in Outlook during your Remote Desktop sessions on the Microsoft Surface Pro X. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support or your IT department for further assistance.
