Windows 7 Blue screen KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Hi,

I have been getting frequent blue screens lately .. Like whenever laptop goes to sleep and appication gets stuck.

I am attaching dump and sysdata with this.

PLs help.

Hi,
the above bugcheck can be caused by a number of things ranging from Hard drive issues, failing RAM and Malware. The dump file also shows this error status:

ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000185 - The I/O device reported an I/O error.
DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware

If possible you need to check the connections to the HDD. Also try running a chkdsk:

Please ensure you tick the check boxes to check for and repair broken sectors.

As it's a sleep issue just try opening the advanced power options and making sure 'Hybrid sleep' is enabled.

Can you also post the make and model of your machine as it was difficult to find online with the information I had.

If the bsod continues then you'll need to test your RAM. Windows does have a memory testing app but it can miss errors and the best app for the job is Memtest86.
If you open the link below you'll see you can run Memtest86 in two ways. You can either burn it to disk or install it onto a USB drive it's entirely up to you. You'll then need to enter the bios to change the boot order so you can boot from either the Disk or USB stick you have Memtest86 on.
You must test for at least 12 hours unless it becomes obvious there is a problem straight away (you'll see errors outlined in red.
