Hi all!

First of all; let me state that I have very little to no knowledge of hardware but I would very much appreciate some help!
I have recently (one week ago) bought a new desktop (Fujitsu p1500) with Windows 7 (64-bit). It worked fine the first couple of days, then it started having slight problems booting up, and now it just gives me the 'blue-screen' crash at some seemingly random moments! I have tried to do some research on the subject, but all i found was that it might have something to do with Norton (so i un-installed that right away), and now i hear it might have something to do with my drivers. Again; I know very little of the subject, so i would REALLY appreciate your help! What can I do?

Greets,

Remco

Hi Remco, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your new desktop. Blue screen crashes can be quite frustrating, but we'll do our best to help you troubleshoot the problem. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue: 1. Update Drivers: - Outdated or incompatible drivers can often cause blue screen errors. You can try updating your drivers to see if that resolves the issue. You can typically update drivers through the Device Manager in Windows. 2. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure your Windows 7 operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any pending updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that address known issues and improve system stability. 3. Run System...
Hi Remco, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your new desktop. Blue screen crashes can be quite frustrating, but we'll do our best to help you troubleshoot the problem. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure your Windows 7 operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any pending updates. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that address known issues and improve system stability. 3. Run System File Checker (SFC): - The System File Checker tool scans for corrupt system files and attempts to repair them. To run SFC, open a Command Prompt as an administrator and type the command sfc /scannow. 4. Check for Overheating: - Ensure that your desktop is not overheating, as this can also lead to system instability. Make sure the cooling fans are working properly and that the system is well-ventilated. 5. Check for Malware: - Even though you've uninstalled Norton, it's a good idea to scan your system for malware using Windows Defender or a reputable antivirus program to rule out any malicious software causing the crashes. 6. Check Event Viewer: - You can use the Event Viewer tool in Windows to check for any error messages or warnings that might provide more insight into the cause of the blue screen crashes. 7. Consider a System Restore: - If the issues started after a certain point, you can try using System Restore to revert your system back to a state before the problems began. 8. Seek Professional Assistance: - If you're uncomfortable performing these steps yourself, consider reaching out to a professional or a local computer repair shop for assistance. These steps should help you get started in diagnosing and resolving the blue screen crashes on your Fujitsu p1500 desktop. If you encounter any specific errors or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details for tailored help.
