Hi

I want to make a bootable flash drive from an ISO file.
I normally use ImgBurn to make a bootable DVD and expected to do the same with my flash drive.

But there is no option to write to a flash drive.

I have already made a bootable DVD from this same file, so I know it works ok on a disk.

How do I create a bootable flash drive, can it be done with ImgBurn or do I need to find different software?

Hi

I should have said that this is for a Linux ISO, I checked out Rufus and it looks like it will do what I need, I'll give it a try tomorrow. When I get home.

Thanks for the info nmsuk, I'm really surprised that I can't do this with Imgburn, I've used it for as long as I can remember, but I've never done it with a flash drive before.

I'm just experimenting to see if it will let me write to the Flash Drive that
I'm booting from, something you can't do with a DVD.

Hi

RUFUS worked, I made the stick. Rebooted and it booted to the Flash Drive with no problems.
