Hi Guys,

I am going crazy. I bought this Samsung Laptop with Win7. The system finds my wifi network and asks for my password but it wont connect and everytime it gives me a different error

- Problem with Wireless Adapter or access Point
- dhcp is not enabled for wireless network connection 3
- Not favorite profile selected

I tried the usual unplugging the modem/router, didnt work.
I plugged the laptop directly to the modem, didnt work.

I have no idea what to do.

Please if you have any tips, it would be great!

Andrew

Did you get an installation disk with software for the router. Installing this software might help.

Goto network settings, change adapter settings, right click on wireless connection 3, properties, networking tab, left click on internet protocol version 4 (not 6!), click on properties. Make sure the following are both checked: obtain an ip address automatically, obtain dns server address automatically. Click on ok and back out. These will make your wireless adapter run DHCP to get an ip address from your router. If still no success then you will need to ensure that your router is set to run dchp and exactly how to do this varies from one router to another but it should normally default to that so just resetting the router should do it for you.
