Windows 7 Bridge doesn't show connection even though it is

I have W7 x64 build 7100 with a Linksys WUSB600N wireless dual band adaptor bridged to my Nvidia nForce NIC, the setup works as expected except the connection indicator down on my taskbar shows a red 'x' as if nothing is connected, but obviously it is because I'm here typing this. This pc connects wirelessly to the router and the NIC is just bridged so I can play my ps games online. When I unbridge the connections the connection indicator on my task bar functions as normal. Is there something I'm doing wrong or something I've missed as to why it doesn't show a connection while bridged? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
