Hi, this started after i took out my MSI 5770 card and put in ASUS 7770, i just swapped nothing more, didnt think i would need to install new drivers, then this started and happens when im running a bot in diablo3.

ive tried uninstalling the driver, install the newest, install the beta driver, tried using driver sweeper to clean out everything AMD/ATI then install the beta drivers, but still it happens

yesterday i ran the game with the bot and it was fine so i thought i had fixed it with the driver sweeper, but when i woke up this morning the computer had BSOD.

so im coming here and see if i can do anything, thinking about formating the C: and reinstall Windows 7

Hi -

Update Asus ATK0110 mobo utility driver. You have a 2005 version installed that is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7 -
Code:
[FONT=lucida console]ASACPI.sys                  Sun [COLOR=#ff0000]Mar 27[/COLOR] 22:30:36 [COLOR=#ff0000]2005[/COLOR](42476C4C)[/FONT]
http://www.sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=ASACPI.sys

See if BSODs persist.

Regards. . .

Hi -

Update Asus ATK0110 mobo utility driver. You have a 2005 version installed that is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7 -
Code:
[FONT=lucida console]ASACPI.sys                  Sun [COLOR=#ff0000]Mar 27[/COLOR] 22:30:36 [COLOR=#ff0000]2005[/COLOR](42476C4C)[/FONT]
http://www.sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=ASACPI.sys

See if BSODs persist.

Regards. . .

jcgriff2

hey, did that, wasent able to run the game to test it, but ran it on friday morning, and no bsod .. ran it yesterday while at work and it had bsod when i came home,

atikmdag and ntoskrnl were reported ...

i couldnt use your program, but i used the same program used by another site that does the same thing, that worked ... i also got an error trying to upload that one, i get error 2038, thats why i just included the dump files

il attach the 3 recent dump files and reports from the ram program and cpu-z

The program didn't provide all the needed info.
Please do this:
MSINFO32:
Please go to Start and type in "msinfo32.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Save the report as an .nfo file, then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Also, save a copy as a .txt file and include it also (it's much more difficult to read, but we have greater success in getting the info from it).

If you're having difficulties with the format, please open an elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt and type (or copy/paste) "msinfo32 /nfo %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\TEST.NFO" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then navigate to Desktop to retrieve the TEST.NFO file. If you have difficulties with making this work, please post back. Then zip up the .nfo file and upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

BSOD's can be caused by a simple problem with a program - or it can be caused by the interelationships between hardware, device drivers, and Windows. A system has a complex relationship between all of it's parts - so it's difficult to tell what exactly each change will cause.

I make recommendations based on my experience with BSOD's over the years. There are programs that I've consistently seen involved in BSOD's - and there are others that display suspicious characteristics (such as old drivers). It's not easy to see what's causing the problem - and it's even more difficult to tell that it's been fixed for good.

As for the older drivers, have you tried this set of drivers for the Silicone Image stuff?
http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/3132r5_x64_15190_logo_win7.zip

Don't worry about the other 2 for now. We'll see if the BSOD's continue - and if these are still involved. Then we'll decide if we need to get a bit more aggressive in their removal.

Why not? What exact error message do you get (if you are getting an error message)?
Have you tried right-clicking on the .inf files and select "Install" ?

Please be advised that, while doing research on this, it seems that the mobo does not fully support Win7.
This means that there may not be updates for drivers that you need to make the system work reliably.

Good luck!

it says that INF file does not support this action..

then i went to device manager and found the storage driver and it says its up to date

Let's leave it be for now and wait to see if you get any other BSOD's.
If so, zip the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump and upload it with your next post.

Ok, i know how i can prevent the bsod and produce it..

the bsod never happens when im at the computer .. when i leave it with the bot on AND leave winamp in the background playing a stream, the bsod does not happen, last night i ran it without winamp, BANG bsod this morning, been running it for 3 days straight with winamp going

so this must connect to the computer turning off the display or something like that

il attach the dump file, siggik3.zip

The memory dump still blames the video driver. It possible that there are problems with the video card.
Please run the 2 sets of video tests from here: Additional Hardware Diagnostics

If the tests for the video card pass, then try running Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
